Compensation: $110,000–$125,000 base target; bonus historically 2–5% (not guaranteed); overtime eligible

The Opportunity

A leading national law firm is hiring a Senior Network Administrator to own enterprise networking across multiple offices and to lead an upcoming data center relocation. You will design the new site, provision circuits, configure core WAN and security, execute the move weekend, and complete local LAN configuration. Hands-on role with real impact.

If you have not set up a datacenter or a large WAN migration before, this role is not a fit.

What You Will Do

  • Administer and improve LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi across multi-site enterprise environments

  • Define standards for enterprise, datacenter, and DR networking; maintain diagrams, runbooks, and change docs

  • Manage WAN services: MPLS, point-to-point, IP-SEC VPN, ISP links, and cloud ExpressRoute

  • Operate Cisco switching and routing (Catalyst CLI, Meraki); strong IP troubleshooting

  • Manage Palo Alto firewalls and remote access (PanOS, Panorama, GlobalProtect)

  • Support core services: DNS, DHCP, Windows Server AD

  • Support Azure networking: NSG, peering, ExpressRoute

  • Plan and execute maintenance windows, failover testing, and performance tuning

  • Coordinate carriers and vendors; optional exposure to Riverbed WAN optimizers, Kemp load balancers, VMware networking

  • Participate in after-hours emergencies as needed; role is overtime eligible

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in enterprise LAN/WAN operations in a multi-site environment

  • Proven datacenter build or migration ownership, or a major WAN site build of similar complexity

  • Strong Cisco routing/switching experience and IP troubleshooting skills

  • Palo Alto site-to-site VPN and policy management experience

  • Comfort with Azure networking and Windows AD

  • Clear documentation habits and steady execution under pressure

  • Education in a technology discipline; CCNA/CCNP and PCNSE preferred

Work Setup

  • Downtown Toronto office

  • Minimum 3 days onsite per week; extended onsite presence expected during maintenance or move weekends

  • Respectful culture for after-hours contact; emergencies require rapid response

Quick Pre-Screen

  • Have you built or migrated a datacenter end-to-end?

  • Have you designed multi-office interconnects and provisioned circuits with carriers?

  • Have you set up Palo Alto site-to-site VPNs and managed policies with Panorama?

  • Can you share sample network diagrams and cutover runbooks you created?
